David Armstrong has been an artist and a student of form and function since the early sixties while he was earning his degrees in architecture at Idaho State University. The age old question does form follow function or does function follow form, is the question in architecture. For his art there is no question, it’s about an all encompassing positive creative energy.
Creative techniques are sometimes brute force, and he allows his concepts to flow at will, varying from the initial plan, immersed in the moment. When a design has absorbed all of his creative energy he is done and ready to share his efforts with others. Sharing with people as they tilt their heads, moving back, moving forth, and walking around to see his work from all angles, somewhat like a dance of observation. His art is as individual as he is.

David is passionate about his metal art, including furniture, sculptures and wall art as an outlet for his creativity and knowledge. His hope is to bring enjoyment of intriguing and positive art into the lives of the viewers and owners of his fine art.
